Innovation Fellowship Eligibility & Application Process

ELIGIBILITY

We are looking for individuals with a strong interest in health technology innovation for Asia. Candidates will be judged in terms of their potential to become leaders in health technology innovation, including demonstrated potential in creativity and invention.

Other criteria include:

• Priority to Singapore citizens or Permanent Residents.
• Demonstrate significant expertise in the technical advanced degrees (e.g. Master, Ph.D., M.D., M.B.B.S.) and/or industry.
• No outstanding scholarship bonds and or training commitment to serve back at host company
• Display willingness to accept risks associated with entrepreneurship
• Passion for healthcare
• Spirit of giving back to ecosystem

Application and Selection Process

Candidates are shortlisted through a 3-round application process:
Round 1: Online submissions listing professional and academic achievements and a written essay;
Round 2: Selected candidates will then be notified via email to submit two reference letters, a video assay, and a mini-assignment.
Round 3: Selected candidates will be notified via email for the final in-person interviews, which will be conducted over 1.5-days by esteemed interviewers who will assess each candidate on leadership, soft-skills and creativity.

• Round 3: October/November 2020

Terms & Conditions

• The Fellow will commit and apply him/herself to the Fellowship fully i.e. full-time and complete the Programme within the prescribed time;
• The Fellow will conform to all directions, applicable laws, the rules, regulations and disciplinary terms in force from the SB, at the Campuses and any other institution or organisation where the SB Fellowship is conducted;
• During the period of the Fellowship, Fellows will receive a monthly stipend, paid tuition, and travel support for related fellowship activities;
• The Fellow will present their needs database, a collection of needs gathered during the Fellowship training back to the Sponsor, 1 month before completion of the programme; and
• Upon the Fellow’s successful completion of the SB Fellowship, the Fellow will hold employment in a public or private enterprise located in Singapore for a period of 24 months in any appointment(s) which SB may deem appropriate. During the 24 months period, the Fellow is also required to contribute back to SB a minimum of 80 hours of service via lectures, project coaching and/or mentoring of SB training programmes.
