A*STAR Bioinformatics Institute (A*STAR BII) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Zhejiang Cancer Hospital （浙江省肿瘤医院） to strengthen collaboration in AI-driven digital pathology and drug discovery.
A*STAR Bioinformatics Institute (A*STAR BII) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Zhejiang Cancer Hospital （浙江省肿瘤医院） to strengthen collaboration in AI-driven digital pathology and drug discovery.
This partnership brings together A*STAR BII’s expertise in computational life sciences and AI for biomedical data with ZJCH’s strengths as a leading tertiary cancer centre in China dedicated to integrated oncology care, research and education.
The collaboration will focus on:
• Joint R&D in Artificial Intelligence–driven Digital Pathology (AiDP)
• Integration of clinical and multi-omics data to support AI-enabled drug discovery (AiDD)
• Co-authored scientific publications and academic exchange
• Talent development and cross-institutional training between Singapore and China
By aligning advanced AI capabilities with clinical and translational expertise, the collaboration aims to accelerate precision oncology research and strengthen cross-border scientific partnerships.
As A*STAR continues to drive demand-led innovation, partnerships such as these translate research into meaningful health impact for Singapore and the region.
